For the skin, bougainvillea tea can help speed up the healing process and also works as a natural antiseptic. Its infusion may also help reduce the appearance of acne, skin flaking, and other types of skin conditions.
Preparation:
Cut the bougainvillea flowers and wash them with cold water to remove any impurities.
Bring water to a boil, and once it starts boiling, add the flowers.
Use 6 bougainvillea flowers per cup of water.
Remove from heat when the water begins to change color.
Let it steep for a few minutes and strain before serving.
To use it topically, let it cool and store it in a cool place.
