Alegrias de amaranto

The alegrías.-is perhaps the most recognized candy from our country and
certainly one of the most delicious and antique. Its ingredients are amaranth
seed, raisins and honey or sugar to unite and to increase the good taste. It is
of indigenous origin and the amaranth seed was so important that along with
the cocoa was the currency of prehistoric peoples.
