Lele Doll – Cultural Heritage of Querétaro
The Lele doll, whose name in Otomí means “baby”, is a handcrafted creation that has transcended generations, keeping alive the rich tradition of Otomí culture. Originating in the municipality of Amealco, Querétaro, this doll was declared Cultural Heritage of the State of Querétaro on April 18, 2018, in recognition of its cultural importance and value.
Today, the Lele doll is not only a symbol of Mexican identity but also a cultural ambassador that has captured hearts across the world. Each doll is carefully handmade by Otomí artisans, making it a true treasure that celebrates the tradition, color, and history of Mexico
