The color of Mexico wants to teach others with richness of their culture the Mexican Art scene, especially Mexican folk art, is a melting pot of vibrant color illuminating striking and unique motifs inspired by a natural and supernatural worlds, proudly representing its
artisans as “ we are a culture not a costume.”
EL COLOR DE MEXICO was created on the year 2015 in a small place filled of big dreams , Sucelly the founder dreamed of showing her culture, how others can fall in love with the colors of Mexico , the fragrance or the smell of the wet clay –ollas (pots ) y cazuelas de barro identifying our origin bringing the satisfaction to our people with NOSTALGIAS – Sucelly began selling paper machet , papel picado and barro –clay little by little more products as the liking of the clientele.
SUCELLY came to the United States at her early age of 13 years, always knew very deep of her hearth that she was on charge to teach others her Mexican heritage with proud.
We are located at 300 Monroe St. Passaic, New Jersey one of the busiest street of this city with the commitment to bringing the best , unique products hand made to our valuable costumers ; with the original essence of our artisans. Mexico has a least 68 indigenous communities, with more than one in five people identifying as indigenous. Such variety has boosted the creative start given by Mexico ancestors, whose pre-Hispanic works often featured geometric designs in each piece handmade. El color de Mexico wants to make you feel special as Mexican handicrafts are a testament to the artisans’ dedication to their craft. With techniques passed down through generations, these creations reflect a level of artistry that is impossible to replicate on a mass scale.
